Save the Date – April 25, 2015

Another new and different event to support our efforts to Stop Madrona is planned for Saturday, April 25th. This event is a Garden Tour of homes throughout Brea. Eight families have volunteered to showcase their beautiful gardens. Some feature drought tolerant landscaping – at various stages of development – while others feature resort-type atmosphere. We hope you get inspired, get ideas, and join in the fun. Tickets will be available soon. Stay tuned.

Supervisors Deal Big Blow to Esperanza Hills Project

Under the leadership of Supervisor Todd Spitzer, the Board of Supervisors, dealt a significant blow to the Esperanza Hills project at the March 10th meeting. The developer failed to get permissions to build the project. Rather, he was instructed to work with the City of Yorba Linda to comply with the City’s higher standards. Yorba Linda Forum Well Attended

Congratulations to the residents of Yorba Linda! Last night 250 people attended the community forum with Supervisor Todd Spitzer to relay their concerns and questions to agencies about the proposed Esperanza Hills project. The clear majority of the audience was in red (opposing the project) and more than 20 people spoke up about their concerns asking tough questions. Recently, former La Habra Heights Mayor Bruce Douglas resigned from the Hills For Everyone Board of Directors. He has been active in protecting both his beloved city as well as the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor for two decades. An avid mountain biker, Bruce knows the land from the ground up.
