Senator Ed Hernandez, whose district includes the City of Industry, wrote a scathing OpEd in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. He had put legislation on hold that would expand accountability in the City of Industry by including additional housing, and therefore voters, within the city. The taxes generated by these businesses don’t benefit the surrounding residents like they would if that wealth were spread around.
