Yorba Linda Friends: If you’ve been following Esperanza Hills project (340 hillside houses), the Yorba Linda City Council will hear an administrative report on the project’s request for grading and encroachment rights on city-owned open space. There is a specific process to enroll in the Zoom meeting to speak on the item, see the August 3rd post on that for information.
It is a big disappointment to hear that the California Supreme Court opted not to hear the case on Esperanza Hills. The Orange County Board of Supervisors approved the project–the latest iteration–with a 3-2 vote last September. These 340 multi-million dollar houses are proposed immediately adjacent to Chino Hills State Park. There is one more lawsuit appeal pending.
