This past weekend staff from Hills For Everyone went to the Wind Wolves Preserve off Maricopa Highway. The Preserve is 93,000 acres in the San Emigdio Mountains adjacent to the Los Padres National Forest. The property was protected several decades ago by The Wildlands Conservancy. Learn about HFE’s 2025 work in this Recap Video. HFE spent much of its time focused on defense rather than offense. From public lands sell off proposals to the dismantling of the California Environmental Quality Act—it was a tough year. HFE also lost its founder David Myers, who originally envisioned Chino Hills State Park. Here’s to hoping 2026 allows us to complete additional conservation acquisitions in the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor.
