We continue to work with Yorba Linda residents from Protect Our Homes and Hills on the Esperanza Hills project. Hills For Everyone consultant Melanie Schlotterbeck was recently interviewed for a KCET-TV program. It is scheduled to air on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 8:00 PM on KCET-TV’s program SoCal Connected. Watch for it!

It is pretty amazing the similarities of this situation in Northern California and our region. This article sums up why we continue to fight poorly planned projects adjacent to Chino Hills State Park including the Madrona and Esperanza Hills projects. We are so grateful to the sturdy residents of Yorba Linda who have been fighting to save their neighborhoods and the State Park. Thanks too to the legal team, Kevin Johnson and Jeanne MacKinnon, who continue to win in Court–even as we lose the vote at the Board of Supervisors on the Esperanza Hills housing project. Only Supervisor Todd Spitzer voted “NO” having witnessed the evacuation nightmares of the 2008 Freeway Complex Fire and the 2017 Canyon 2 Fire. … Read More
