City of Industry Faces Massive Fines

Apparently the City of Industry is looking at nearly $6 million in fines due to damaging the environment.  City officials contend the former Mayor’s company “Zerep,” hired for a variety of tasks, did the damage unbeknownst to the City or Council and without a permit.  The City is contemplating filing a suit against the former mayor.  Hills For Everyone Executive Director, Claire Schlotterbeck, stated she hoped the audit of City docs would shed light on the system. Esperanza Hills Moves to OC Supervisors

The Orange County Planning Commission, consisting of five members representing each of the five Supervisorial Districts in the County, considered an application by Esperanza Hills developers to build 340 homes in the foothills above Yorba Linda. After over two hours of public comment opposing the Esperanza Hills project, the Planning Commission voted unanimously that the project and the environmental documents were sufficient to recommend approval to the Board of Supervisors.
