We wanted to make sure all our Yorba Linda friends had the opportunity to review and comment on the draft Environmental Impact Report and the 2016 Yorba Linda General Plan. Both can be downloaded from the City of Yorba Linda website. In case you hadn’t heard there was a 2-3 acre brush fire in Carbon Canyon (Brea side) around 2:30 this morning (July 4th). Below are a few photos. Damp morning conditions, low winds, and low temps appear to have aided the fire agencies working the fire. It appears the fire burned the OCTA Hayashi Preserve. It appears the City of Industry may not be able to afford the Tres Hermanos Property (Upper Tonner Canyon). The most recent appraisal puts the land between $75-$125 Million. The original purchase price in 1978 was $12M. The developer (South Coast Communities) proposes open space, 1881 units, and 38 acres of commercial/mixed use. View the article here.
