Three cheers to the Orange County Transportation Authority, California State Parks, Habitat Restoration Sciences, Inc., and @DudekInc for completing a restoration project near South Ridge in Chino Hills State Park. The restoration work included 11 acres of cactus scrub and is part of the Authority’s Renewed Measure M Environmental Mitigation Program which funds habitat acquisition, restoration, and management to offset freeway impacts.

What began as volunteer service in the late 1970s grew into a distinguished career leading Hills For Everyone as its Executive Director. Claire Schlotterbeck will retire at the end of 2026. Join us in celebrating the incomparable Claire, her many achievements, and her legacy at an outdoor event on Saturday, October 10th from 4-7 pm. 

At the end of June, the County of Los Angeles was set to sell ~28 acres of land next to the Harbor Blvd. undercrossing to the City of La Habra Heights. This is concerning for a number of reasons.
