Esperanza Hills Meeting, All Q’s no A’s

Hills For Everyone was an active participant in the Special City Council meeting last Tuesday night, which was supposed to be a Q&A between city staff, agencies and the public about the Esperanza Hills and Cielo Vista projects. Residents came armed with a litany of questions about process and procedure, but the City’s standard response was “We’ll look into that.” It became more of a “Q” with no “A.” Check out the article in the OC Register.

City of Industry Faces Massive Fines

Apparently the City of Industry is looking at nearly $6 million in fines due to damaging the environment.  City officials contend the former Mayor’s company “Zerep,” hired for a variety of tasks, did the damage unbeknownst to the City or Council and without a permit.  The City is contemplating filing a suit against the former mayor.  Hills For Everyone Executive Director, Claire Schlotterbeck, stated she hoped the audit of City docs would shed light on the system.
