HEAR THE TRUTH:

In the City of Yorba Linda election, claims are being made that Measure KK will help “save the hills.” This is a red herring because the measure focuses solely on the Bryant Ranch Shopping Center.

RECEIPTS:

1. Measure KK changes the allowed use on a 9.15 acre site in the Bryant Ranch Shopping Center to high density (30 units per acre) and mixed use. See the ballot measure title. This measure has nothing to do with the hills.

2. The Yorba Linda Zoning Code will change if Measure KK is passed. Again, the purpose of the initiative is to change the Bryant Ranch Shopping Center to Mixed Use 30. The hills aren’t even mentioned in the zoning code change.

3. The Bryant Ranch Shopping Center is on La Palma near the 91 Freeway and Gypsum Canyon. It isn’t even in the hills, therefore no hills can be saved with changes made to the zoning of this property.
