Sunsets in the fall and winter are spectacular. And they are “extra” spectacular when set against natural ridge lines. These are the 3,000 acre Shell-Aera lands above Brea on the Orange County side and above Diamond Bar and Rowland Heights on the LA County side. Our aim is to protect them forever.

Thank you to the Puente Hills Habitat Preservation Authority for its presentation to the City of Brea on the impacts the proposed expansion of Brea Canyon Road will have on the Puente Hills Preserve and entire Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor. Great job!

This is so cool to see our work from SPACE. East of LA’s lights the biggest dark spot (open space) is the Cleveland National Forest. If you follow that up the photo, you can see the entire Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor. Zoom in to get a closer look. If you are geographically challenged, find the biggest island (Catalina) by the rectangular-ish point (Palos Verdes) and the Puente-Chino Hills are northeast from there (aim to 2:00)
