Happy Earth Day! For more than 40 years Hills For Everyone has worked with its partners to protect more than 19,000 acres of natural lands in the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor. We need your help to continue this effort. We also need your help to ensure our natural lands aren’t overrun with litter. Do you part to keep our public lands looking great!
In this monthly e-newsletter, park supporters learn about park rules and protecting the poppy blooms, how to make camping reservations in a State Park or Beach, and the do’s and don’ts of snake country. And, Happy Earth Day (April 22nd)! View our April e-newsletter.
Today our Conservation Consultant Melanie Schlotterbeck presented at the international conference: Southwest Adaptation Forum. The three day conference is hosted by Climate Science Alliance and Southwest Climate Adaptation Science Center. Specifically she joined in a live panel discussion about research applications for local climate adaptation, using Chino Hills State Park and our wildfire study as examples.
We are go grateful for the volunteers that installed the second Welcome Sign at the Discovery Center. It is over by the Telegraph Canyon Trailhead at the end of the parking lot. The posts still need to be trimmed, but the signage is reduced and we hope it provides help to those looking for information on the park, its hours, trails, and do’s and don’t’s.
