NEW Brea General Plan Available

Every jurisdiction (cities and counties) in California is required to have a General Plan. It serves as a visioning document for how and where development should occur over time. Brea’s current General Plan was approved in 2003 and needs to be updated (especially Brea’s Core) since so many changes have accrued: new housing, new laws regarding open space and wildlife corridors, and different kinds of businesses. Yorba Linda General Plan Available for Review

We wanted to make sure all our Yorba Linda friends had the opportunity to review and comment on the draft Environmental Impact Report and the 2016 Yorba Linda General Plan. Both can be downloaded from the City of Yorba Linda website. Tentative plans are to have the Planning Commission review it on July 13, make a recommendation to the City Council on July 27, and then have it go before the City Council in August. Chino Hills General Plan Update

Last week the Chino Hills City Council passed the long awaited update of the General Plan. They set aside the issue of zoning for the 3,000 acres of hills along the 71 freeway.  Landowners have suggested the land is zoned one unit per five acres. However, Hills For Everyone provided City Council minutes from 1994 showing the Council voted 5-0 to leave the existing County zoning in place at one house per forty acres.
