Our conservation work requires a lot of partnerships at the local, regional, state, and federal level. We were deeply appreciative of the letter we received yesterday from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on the 320 acre acquisition we helped facilitate earlier this year. With the holiday season in full swing, we thought we’d remind everyone that our favorite ‘hemiparasitic plant” (aka mistletoe) is protected in our parklands. This means, while it is fun to “kiss under the mistletoe” (virus aside!), if it is found inside Chino Hills State Park or on the Puente Hills Habitat Preservation Authority Preserve-removing it is illegal.
