Federal Conservation Funding Renewed

Congress reauthorized the critical conservation bill, known as the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF). Congress let it expire September 30 after 50 years of successful conservation funding. Many organizations, including Hills For Everyone, supported its renewal. In the last few days, Congress approved an omnibus spending package with a three-year extension the Fund. The Santa Ana River Parkway Extension Project, Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR), will be available for public review beginning December 10, 2015 today. The Notice of Availability (NOA) contains information where paper copies of the DEIR are available for public review and the web address to download a digital copy.
