In a significant move this week, the US Senate approved the “Great American Outdoors Act,” which combines two topics. First, the backlog of maintenance projects (estimated to be $12 billion) for our National Parks has $9.5 billion included in the bill. Second, the bill permanently supports up to $900 million every year for conservation funding. The latter funding comes through a program call the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF). Hills For Everyone is pleased to announce we’ve partnered with Assemblymember Phillip Chen to introduce a bill to expand Chino Hills State Park and require the Department of Parks and Recreation to take the lands it has always envisioned to have, into its ownership.
