As the Santa Ana winds return to our area this fall season, we are reminded of their devastating effect 10 years ago when the winds drove the Freeway Complex Fire to burn over 30,000 acres in four counties. Tonner Canyon Bypass Road Rumors

The idea of a short cut to the Olinda Landfill off of the 57 freeway at Tonner Canyon has raised its ugly head in the Brea City Council race. We are so grateful to the sturdy residents of Yorba Linda who have been fighting to save their neighborhoods and the State Park. Thanks too to the legal team, Kevin Johnson and Jeanne MacKinnon, who continue to win in Court–even as we lose the vote at the Board of Supervisors on the Esperanza Hills housing project. Only Supervisor Todd Spitzer voted “NO” having witnessed the evacuation nightmares of the 2008 Freeway Complex Fire and the 2017 Canyon 2 Fire.    … Read More
