Fires in Puente Hills

It appears the reminder needs to be made that fireworks are illegal in all of the communities surrounding the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor. This is the second fire for the Puente Hills Habitat Preservation Authority in or near its preserves in just as many weeks. Please do not set off fireworks, they impact wildlife, can easily start fires, and can lead to devastating wildfires. View the KTLA News cast.

Happy 4th of July

Fireworks cause many wildland fires this time of year. Please know that ALL of the cities surrounding the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor have banned fireworks. These cities include: Yorba Linda, Brea, La Habra, La Habra Heights, Whittier, Hacienda Heights, Rowland Heights, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, and Corona. Please obey the law as the consequences can be deadly and catastrophic. Have a safe 4th of July.

No Fireworks in the Hills

Public Service Announcement: Fireworks are not allowed in the State Park or Habitat Authority Preserve. In fact, all communities surrounding the hills have designated fireworks illegal due to the high fire danger. For the safety of the families, homes, and parkland please obey the laws.
