While the Blue Ridge Fire continues to burn, here is what we know: 1. It is presently estimated at 8,000 acres by OC Fire Authority. Most of that acreage is very likely Chino Hills State Park. As the Santa Ana winds return to our area this fall season, we are reminded of their devastating effect 10 years ago when the winds drove the Freeway Complex Fire to burn over 30,000 acres in four counties. In addition, over 280 homes were damaged or destroyed and 95% of Chino Hills State Park burned.
