Malibu Creek State Park in Calabasas has similar plant and wildlife species as the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor. From the hills, valleys, and streams to the California quail, mountain lions, and deer—there are many similarities. It is a few thousand acres smaller than Chino Hills State Park, and lovely just the same.

HFE also lost its founder David Myers, who originally envisioned Chino Hills State Park. We are thrilled to report that after seven years of scientific study, the California Fish and Game Commission voted Thursday (February 12) to accept the staff’s recommendation to list the subspecies of cougar found in Southern California and along the Central Coast.
