It is with great pleasure that I announce that Governor Newsom signed SB 266 into law. This law now requires the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept title to the lands being acquired on the eastern ridgeline of Chino Hills State Park. We are elated to announced that today 320 acres closed escrow and are now permanently protected. The land, named after its owners: First National Investment Properties (First National), includes ridgelines visible from the popular Lower Aliso Canyon Overlook (as shown in the banner image). View our Press Release. Thanks to a wonderful partnership with Friends of Harbors, Beaches & Parks (FHBP), a joint Opinion Editorial was written by our (and FHBP) consultant Melanie Schlotterbeck about opportunities that exist in and around Orange County for conservation acquisitions. 30×30 Campaign Maps Created

Through a great partnership with Friends of Harbors, Beaches & Parks (FHBP), Hills For Everyone used FHBP’s Green Vision Map to identify 275 properties (totaling over 30,000 acres) in and around Orange County for possible acquisition. Right now, the California Natural Resources Agency is taking ideas for land acquisitions around the state to help implement its 30×30 Campaign.
