It is interesting that a little over one year ago this article was written. It appears even in the ‘best of times’ the state opts not to fund or prioritize parks, park maintenance, and park acquisitions. With a growing population, this means more crowds, more impacts to the resources, and less availability of parkland.

Hills For Everyone is working to change that, with our bill AB 2021, which advances 1,611 acres that has always been envisioned for addition to Chino Hills State Park. But, with COVID-19 and now the massive budget deficit, we may not be successful. Our bill has been scheduled for hearing on June 2nd before the Appropriations Committee.
