Prescribed Burn

with No Comments

Did you hear that there will be a prescribed burn in Tonner Canyon on Monday, March 30th by Los Angeles County Fire Department? If not, consider this a heads up that there will be smoke and there is no need to report it to 911.

As a note, prescribed burns should include a restoration plan or else the repeatable cycle of non-native plant growth will continue to occur making the area more easily ignitable.

needed after a burn? Just burning an area without restoring it means the cycle of bringing back non-natives just repeats itself again and again.
