Residents registered serious complaints to the Whittier City Council in September about the misuse and abuse of Hellman Park in Whittier. Research done about the park visitors indicates that 75% of users are coming from outside of Whittier, which in and of itself, is having a huge impact on traffic and street parking near the Park. The Puente Hills Habitat Preservation Authority is considering its options.
