Thanks to a wonderful partnership with Friends of Harbors, Beaches & Parks (FHBP), a joint Opinion Editorial was written by our (and FHBP) consultant Melanie Schlotterbeck about opportunities that exist in and around Orange County for conservation acquisitions. Through a thorough mapping exercise we now know more than 30,000 acres are potentially available for conservation. Read the Opinion Editorial.

30×30 Campaign Maps Created

Through a great partnership with Friends of Harbors, Beaches & Parks (FHBP), Hills For Everyone used FHBP’s Green Vision Map to identify 275 properties (totaling over 30,000 acres) in and around Orange County for possible acquisition. Right now, the California Natural Resources Agency is taking ideas for land acquisitions around the state to help implement its 30×30 Campaign. Did you know that Hills For Everyone does not own or manage land? Nope. We advocate for the protection of land, work with willing sellers and donors to get land protected, inform political leaders and gather their support, and use state and federal dollars for the conservation acquisitions–but we do not own or manage the land.
