Coyotes are versatile and able to adapt to environments modified by humans. One coyote was spotted eating fruit in a backyard tree in Yorba Linda next to Chino Hills State Park, but most of their food is meat. They are clearly opportunistic. As human activity has altered the landscape, the coyote’s range has expanded.
