Claire Schlotterbeck was surrounded by friends, family, and conservation advocates in a recent ceremony honoring political leaders hosted by the Sierra Club Political Action Committee. Kathryn Phillips, a Sierra Club leader, honored Claire with references to John Muir and the legacy he created with Yosemite. A clear and moon-free night means tonight should bring wonderful views of the Perseid Meteor Shower. The best night to view it is tonight (August 12) and there is no need for binoculars or a telescope. You should be able to see meteors with the naked eye. Wine Tasting Tons of Fun!

We had such a wonderful time at the Hodson’s beautiful home in Oak Tree Downs on Saturday night. The wine tasting went off without a hitch.
