A lot of the projects Hills For Everyone has opposed are in Very High (or High) Fire Hazard Severity Zones (i.e., Hidden Oaks – Chino Hills, Madrona – Brea, and Esperanza Hills – above Yorba Linda). By definition this means the land has burned multiple times in recorded history. Fundamentally, the issues are public safety (evacuation), loss of habitat, and impacts to our protected lands.
