Congress Allow Conservation Dollars to Sunset

What a huge disappointment! Instead of reauthorizing the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), Congress let the bill sunset today. Many of our public lands have benefited from these important LWCF dollars…. including Chino Hills State Park. This eliminates future federal dollars from this program. Let’s hope conservation wins the day in the months to come as nonprofits spearhead the effort to reauthorize the bill allowing more lands to be protected in perpetuity.
