Raids Over Industry Solar Contracts

The LA County District Attorney raided homes and businesses related to the failed solar farm planned for the Tres Hermanos land owned by the City of Industry. Generic invoices and $20 million of payouts to contractors, with little to no work to show for it, lead to the investigation. Former State Senator Frank Hills, businessman William Barkett and Industry’s former city manager, Paul Philips, were among those whose possessions were searched and/or confiscated. As a follow up to our post earlier this week on rodenticides, the Puente Hills Habitat Preservation Authority offers helpful tips and tools for co-existing with wildlife. Tips span the spectrum including: how to avoid contact with coyotes, steering clear of mountain lions, understanding edge effects, and general avoidance etiquette for wildlife encounters. The Authority even has a couple of helpful videos.
