The County released the Notice of Availability for the Final EIR for Cielo Vista on Wednesday, November 18. Download the documents and provide substantive feedback before the project is considered by the County Planning Commission on Wednesday, December 9th. Puente Hills Landfill Park (Not So Much)

The Puente Hills Landfill was to be converted to a passive park after the landfill’s closure. LA County Parks staff however, has thrown in everything but the kitchen sink in its proposal for the new county regional park. There are parking lots, gondolas, a giant concrete slide, a zip line, two BMX bike skills courses, stair climbs, bike rentals and an amphitheater. Madrona Project Overturned in Court

We just received the ruling from Orange County Judge Robert Moss and couldn’t be more thrilled. We won! He granted our petition almost across the board. He found that Brea violated its own planning documents, that the Environmental Impact Report was not adequate, and therefore the 162 unit housing project next to Chino Hills State Park is no longer approved.
