Southwest Adaptation Forum

Today our Conservation Consultant Melanie Schlotterbeck presented at the international conference: Southwest Adaptation Forum. The three day conference is hosted by Climate Science Alliance and Southwest Climate Adaptation Science Center. Specifically she joined in a live panel discussion about research applications for local climate adaptation, using Chino Hills State Park and our wildfire study as examples.

Melanie Schlotterbeck Gets Award

Congratulations to our consultant Melanie Schlotterbeck for her recent accomplishment. She just received (this week in the chaos of the Blue Ridge Fire) Senate District 29’s Woman of Distinction Award for the Environment from Senator Ling Ling Chang. Her work continues to protect the environment, bring communities together, and plan for a more sustainable future. Great job!

Chino Champion Covers Acquisition

As a side note, the long term goal for this land is for it to be added to the State Park, but it is currently NOT in Park’s ownership.
