Elfin Foret

Locally, the Cleveland National Forest’s chaparral makes up our forested areas. In fact, it has been called an “elfin” forest because the plants are smaller or “elf-like.” This forest plays a critical role in the health of the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor.
