Since the 1970s, Hills For Everyone has led the way to protect the 14,100 acre Chino Hills State Park. Through decades-long advocacy–along with local and state partnerships–one final phase, the eastern ridgelines (842 acres), are on the path to being protected!
Our partners at Friends of Harbors, Beaches & Parks (FHBP) coordinated a large coalition, of which Hills For Everyone was deeply engaged, to get a mitigation policy adopted by Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG). Through our work with the Power in Nature Coalition we provided details on the policy’s status. As a non-profit, we are not allowed to endorse or oppose candidates. We are, however, allowed to share tips. In short, do your homework on a candidate. If they say they’ve done something to support conservation goals in the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor–get receipts and ask them to show proof. Vote early or on Tuesday, November 8th!
