2025 End of Year Recap Video

Learn about HFE’s 2025 work in this Recap Video. HFE spent much of its time focused on defense rather than offense. From public lands sell off proposals to the dismantling of the California Environmental Quality Act—it was a tough year. HFE also lost its founder David Myers, who originally envisioned Chino Hills State Park. Here’s to hoping 2026 allows us to complete additional conservation acquisitions in the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor.

Help Save Local Mountain Lions

California may soon grant long-overdue protection to mountain lions (also called cougars) in the Central Coast and Southern California, as the Department of Fish and Wildlife has recommended listing them as Threatened under the state’s Endangered Species Act.
