A California appellate court has sided with environmental groups in a major California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) lawsuit against the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CalFire). The Court’s ruling indicated that CalFire failed to fully evaluate the wildfire risks of its vegetation treatment program. Another Big Win in Yorba Linda

Orange County Superior Court Judge Claster ruled in favor of residents and environmental groups fighting a dangerous hillside development (Esperanza Hills) next to Chino Hills State Park above Yorba Linda. He ordered that all project approvals be revoked and the Environmental Impact Report to be rewritten. He also gave the County a deadline (of mid-July) for complying with the order.
