Taking a moment to look back at the last 30 years means we relive some important moments. Because of your support, Hills For Everyone (HFE) has:
- Led the effort to protect the last wildlife passage between the Santa Ana Mountains and Chino Hills State Park at Coal Canyon.
- Educated decision makers on the importance of connecting wildlife areas together.
- Supported the creation of a wildlife tunnel under Harbor Boulevard.
- Participated in statewide wildlife corridor discussions, legislation, policy solutions, and more!
We could use your year-end financial support to secure more wildlands in the Puente-Chino Hills.

Because cougars’ home ranges have been diminished by roads and development, Southern California cougars have been temporarily listed as a California Endangered Species. Thankfully, that means they get extra protections under the law while studies are performed.
Right now, HFE is focused on protecting the Missing Middle of the Wildlife Corridor. These are the undeveloped hills that serve as the backdrop of Brea and Rowland Heights. You see them along the 57 Freeway.
If we can save these 3,000 acres, it will link the protected habitat in the Puente Hills to the eastern lands in Chino Hills State Park. Cougars and deer, fox and bobcats will have a wider choice of mates and be less vulnerable to the errors of inbreeding.
Please consider a generous year end donation. All contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
