Since last January, Hills For Everyone (HFE) has been actively working to ensure protections related to public lands and sensitive species aren’t extinguished.
Conservation work isn’t for the faint of heart. Honestly, it’s been a tough year.
Federal leaders have repealed a lot of conservation programs, including:
- Eliminating thousands of employees in the US Forest Service and National Park Service.
- Revoking clean water protections that have existed for upwards of 50 years.
- Threatening to sell off millions of acres of federal lands.
- Reducing protections for coastal California by allowing offshore oil drilling.
- Rolling back protections for threatened and endangered species.
Donate to support our work defending ALL protected lands from these cuts.
While these are federal issues, they very much relate to our work in the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor.
➡️If fewer employees are available to enforce regulations, destruction of sensitive habitat areas and cultural resources will occur.
➡️If federal lands are sold off or opened up for mining and clearcutting, the species that call those areas home will seek new refuge—where there is unlikely to be any space.
➡️If federal policies are eliminated, corporations and private parties will be able to destroy forest lands, wilderness areas, and more by logging and mining.
Please help HFE continue its work defending the environment. We need your support now, more than ever.
