SB 131 was passed by the Legislature and signed by the Governor. The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) has been gutted. Please call and thank or call and hold accountable legislators whose districts overlap with the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor. Take action to get cleanup language adopted immediately.

The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Bill Update SB 131

CEQA, as we know it, has been gutted.

The public relied on CEQA to identify where sensitive habitats and species are, determine project impacts, and reduce those impacts through mitigation.

These requirements are now eliminated from CEQA. Developers are thrilled.

Legislators and the Governor promised to fix sloppy language through a cleanup bill. We need your help requesting this action.

Who to thank (Asm. Chen and Castillo) then ask for: a cleanup bill that (1) includes habitat definitions and (2) excludes “advance manufacturing” (industrial uses).
