No Fires This Year Near the 4th of July

with No Comments

We are pleased to report that we are aware of no fires that were started in the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor in the days before or after the Fourth of July. We know FireWatch volunteers were out and so were park and preserve rangers. We can breathe a sign of relief related to this significant and historic fire ignition week. Keep up the vigilance as it will be a hot, dry summer!

Fire Ignitions Near 4th of July HIGH

with No Comments

This is your friendly, but VERY serious, reminder our hills are *quite* flammable. So are our cars, houses, possessions–even us–we are flammable. More fires start in the month of July than *any other* month in the year because of fireworks. Please DO NOT set off fireworks in any of the neighborhoods near the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor–they are banned for a reason. Our safety, our lives, and our peace of mind are worth more than any firework display.
