Come out and enjoy nature next door. The Puente Hills Preserve is full of beautiful vistas, fresh air, and flora and fauna that make this area one of the world’s hot spots for biodiversity. Find out where all the local trailheads are, what is being preserved and how to become a part of the Preserve’s volunteer team. Bane Canyon Celebration

Join Hills For Everyone, the Chino Hills State Park Interpretive Association and State Parks as we celebrate the grand re-opening of Bane Canyon Road (the Chino Hills Entrance to the Park). There will be a facepainter, self-guided nature walk, crafts, naturalist-led hike, a fire engine, informational booths, a bike ride (BYO Bike), and light refreshments! Chino Hills State Park: The Beginnings

Executive Director Claire Schlotterbeck will be the featured speaker at the Chino Hills Historical Society’s meeting next Monday night.  The topic of her presentation is the “Chino Hills State Park: \u000bHow and Why it all Began.”  We’d welcome your attendance at this free event.  The meeting, at the Chino Hills Community Center, 14250 Peyton Drive, begins at 7 PM.

Esperanza Hills Approvals

Orange County Supervisors nailed it! They approved a 340 unit project (Esperanza Hills) in the hills above Yorba Linda that uses twice the water an average resident used (before the 36% mandatory cutbacks) and it will be in a known fire corridor (its burned multiple times).
