Fire Myths Clarified

This is an important article to carefully read and slowly absorb about fires (especially the myths about forest fires versus chaparral fires). Fuel reduction has been the hot topic to “keep communities safe,” but in reality, the science is showing fires in these logged areas are actually burning hotter and more intensely. Rodenticide Ban Bill Passed!

We are thrilled to announce that Governor Newsom signed AB 1788 today, which bans second generation anticoagulant rodenticides. This means predators and scavengers like mountain lions, bobcats, and owls will no longer die a slow, painful death due to eating a poisoned rodent. Thank you for all the letters submitted and all the organizations involved in this effort!

New Patagonia Film Debut

Patagonia is releasing the premiere of its film: The Public Trust, in partnership with Executive Producers Robert Redford and Yvon Chouinard. It is TONIGHT (September 25) on YouTube at 5 PM Pacific. This film focuses on the fight to protect our public lands. There is a way to sign up to get involved in and stay informed of the fight for the protection of public lands near you!
