Chaparral & Fires

with No Comments

Chaparral is prone to burn and, if not burned too often, plants can re-sprout from underground root crowns or mature enough, from seeds. If it burns too often though, the root crown runs out of stored energy and the plant dies. Alternatively, the plant may not be able to grow to be old enough to produce seeds before it burns again.
