YL Fire Safe Council

Brea General Plan Update

The City of Brea is updating its General Plan. Residents should speak during public comments and in surveys about policies they support like open space zoning in our Sphere of Influence. Scoping comments were due in September 2025.

Wildfire Study Update

In 2026, Hills For Everyone will update its Wildfire Study to include another eight years of data. The goal is understanding where, when, why, and how fires start near Chino Hills State Park.

In honor of the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., Governor Newsom is offering free entry to all California State Parks to commemorate his birthday on January 19. There are many local State Parks to pick from, such as: Chino Hills State Park, Crystal Cove State Park, Doheny State Beach, Huntington State Beach, etc. Go enjoy nature on this beautiful day!
