Shell-Aera is in discussions with the City of Diamond Bar in an attempt to be
annexed into this development friendly city.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION Shell-Aera proposes to change the
local area plan and zoning to implement a phased development of 3,600 houses, an
18-hole golf course, local community commercial uses, and park space.
This project will bring an additional 40,000 vehicle trips a day to our streets,
destroy the scenic backdrop to north Orange County and Rowland Heights, sever the Puente-Chino
Hills Wildlife Corridor.
STATUS -
UPDATED 12/19/07 On December 19, 2007, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

federally endangered coastal California gnatcatcher. Critical habitat identifies
geographic areas essential for the conservation of a threatened or endangered
species and which may require special management considerations. A large portion
of the Shell-Aera property is now listed as critical habitat. Download the

DOES SHELL AND EXXON MOBIL NEED THE MONEY FROM 3,600
HOUSES IN OUR BACKYARD? YOU DECIDE. Aera Energy is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shell and
ExxonMobil.
Shell topped its own record-setting results with an estimated profit of $23
billion for 2005.
Exxon unveiled a profit of about $32 billion for 2005. This will be the largest
single profit in the history of corporate America.
In June 2006, Shell reported that its second-quarter earnings jumped 40 percent
to $7.32 billion in 2006.
Exxon Mobil has made more than $20 billion in profits in just the first six
months in 2006. This new Exxon Mobil report shows the oil company earning more
than $1,300 a second by some estimates.
